The Colonial Early Education Program (CEEP) is comprised of preschool aged children with and without identified disabilities, and is housed at John G. Leach School. All preschool classes are taught by Delaware state certified early childhood educators, and all classrooms have at least one paraeducator. All classrooms have state certified speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, and/or physical therapists who work in the preschool classrooms. CEEP classrooms implement a developmentally appropriate educational curriculum which focuses on language, social, cognitive, fine motor, and large motor growth. Our educators also focus on the Delaware Department of Education’s Early Learning Foundations for School Success when planning and teaching lessons.
The Colonial Early Education Program is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that celebrates each child’s learning potential, while developing his or her unique identity. The anticipated outcome of our program is to acquire the essential skills necessary to be successful in kindergarten and beyond.
